With his Mass Communication background, he has worked in almost all television station in the country. He started as a stringer for TV3 between 1996-1997 before joining Metrovision as a broadcast journalist in 1997-1998.
He started his own company in construction industry when Asia was hit by the economic crisis in 1998. He braved the hard times with steady perseverance.
He developed his interest in investigative reporting after joining ntv7 and worked in Edisi Siasat in 2003. He was one of the journalists who went to Southern Thailand at the height of the political crisis in 2004.
He teamed up with Zainal Rashid and through his company, Firdaus Maju Sdn. Bhd. they produced television programs for RTM dan Astro.

HE started his career in journalism with Utusan Malaysia in 1993. After three years with the newspaper, he moved to Astro before joining ntv7. He developed the idea and concept of Edisi Siasat, the famous investigative reporting program for the station. The weekly program was well accepted by the viewers and he had his breakthrough.
While he was with the station, he went to Southern Thailand to cover the political crisis in the conflicting region. His report, Tak Bai, Tragedi Thailand was aired in Edisi Siasat and later won the coveted Anugerah Seri Angkasa for Best Television Magazine in 2004.
He then moved to TV3. He is also the first Malaysian journalist to enter Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. He filed his report on the Al-Aqsa Mosque for Majalah 3 in 2005.
Zainal Rashid is also a renowned and prolific creative writer. His short stories and poems had won 29 literary awards organized by Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka dan Kumpulan Utusan Melayu. He is 40 years old.
